sewing pant’s zipper…left flap over right or right flap over left?

i’ve been trying to look some information about those subject…
my teacher said, right flap over left…i also burda’s technical picture…it’s the same…
but in two book, they said left flap over right…it is in man’s pant subject in one of the books…my jeans also used this method…jeans is usually made for man and woman…so, i can’t really rely on this…
i believe in my teacher’s word since she is a professional and experienced lecture and sewer…
but hmmm…is there any difference for sewing zipper for women’s pants and man’s ones? or may be europe method and america method?
please…i need some answer from experienced sewer…which one is true? or which one is mostly used?…
to be honest, i only ask a tailor to sew a pants once…it’s for my reference in sewing pants…but now i’m confused…

i hope my questions are clear…especially about those flap terms…i copied it from the english book actually…

In women’s pants, it’s left flap over right, in men it’s reversed. That’s as your wearing the article of clothing, yb the way.
